Warm welcome upon your arrival in Vientiane. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel located in centre. After a short rest, you will Welcome dinner at a local restaurant then you visit the night market before back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Vientiane city tour – Bouddha Park (B/L)
At 08:00AM, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa then on the way back, we stop at Patuxay Monument (like a mini Arc de Triumph of Paris) to take some pictures or you can climb the stairs to the top of this monument and enjoy a panoramic view of Vientiane city. The following sight is Wat Sisaket which is the oldest temple with thousands of minianture Buddha status. Next to this one, that is the former royal temple of Wat Hor Prakeo where previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.
After lunch, we’ll take a trip fowwing the road along the bank of Mekong to visit Bouddha park in Xieng Khouan, containing a combination of hundred status of Hindu divinities and Buddha. We’ll pass villages avec beautiful views of vegetable garden…and also see the Mekong friendship Bridge as the border between Laos and Thailand on the way back. Have dinner and Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 3: Vietiane – Vang Vieng (B/L)
You have breakfast at hotel then the driver and guide will meet you. We’ll go to Vang Vieng. we pass through spectacular countryside then stop along the way at Vang Xang, a famous archeological site dating back to the 11th century and arrive Vang Vieng around 12:00PM. After lunch, we cross the Nam Song River to Tham Jang caves and then enjoy a short trek through breathtaking mountain landscape to explore the Tam None Cave and some hill villages. Finish by a super panorama of the sunset reflecting over the Nam Song River. Overnight in Vang Vieng.
Day 4: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang (B/L)
After have breakfast, around 07:30AM we’ll go to Luang Prabang, the ancient first capital of Lane Xang kingdom. Arrive in Luang Prabang , you have lunch at local restaurant on main street of Old Quarter then check in hotel. You’ve free time to relax then walking or ride a bicycle to visit this city small and tranquil then have dinner and explore Street Night Bazaar where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 5: Wat Xieng Thong - Boat trip on Mekong river - Pak Ou cave - Villages (B/L)
After breakfast at hotel, we visit the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the impressive “tree of life” mosaic pattern set in coloured glass. We embark on a boat on the Mekong River, giving us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside and visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, which are two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Have lunch at local restaurant with great view next to Mekong river. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai.
In the afternoon, you will visit some landmarks, including the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the Wat Mai with five tiered roofs. Free time to visit the Old Quarter by night or shopping at Night Market. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 6: Kuang Si falls - Phousi hill (B/L)
Have breakfast at hotel then we take a driver (around 30km) to visit the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can take a dip in the large turquoise pools or walk along the forest paths. Our picnic lunch is served at the shady park nearby KuangSi waterfall. On the way back, we’ll visit a fresh produced market namely Talad Phosy and Ban Na OUne, a small village of a hill tribe group “Hmong”. In the late afternoon, you can climb up Phousi Hill, the 328 steps for a beautiful sunset view in the whole Luang Prabang and Mekong river. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 7: Elephant Camp – Tad Sae fall – Luang Prabang airport (B/L)
05.30AM, you can wake up early and participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black Alms-giving bowls being given offerings from the local people, including the ubiquitous sticky rice.
8:00 am – 8:30 am: Depart your Hotel. Pick up by our English speaking guide and car to go to the “Elephant village” about 15 km out of town. You will take a small boat to Elephant Camp and Tad Sae Waterfall. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature on this 30- 40 min Elephant ride through which you support the rescue of our former logging Elephants then relax in the clear water then we have lunch at local restaurant nearby to Tad Sae fall with set menu included a mineral water/person and bananas (vegetarian options available). Free time to take some nice pictures with this amazing waterfall (in dry season from Jan – July).
At 14:00PM, the driver and guide will take care you to Luang Prabang airport. Say good bye and see you soon in Laos in near future.
